“Can we make a book about Legos?”

It started with a backpack full of books. Every day, our six-year-old came home from school with leveled readers, carefully grouped to match his reading ability. He loved them. But we noticed something: the books could not keep up with his curiosity, and he was starting to outgrow the level he had been placed in.

There is only a limited set of books at each reading level, and our son wanted to read about space, how machines work, Legos, the human body. His three-year-old sibling wanted to see their favorite toys on the page. No shelf can offer that for every child, at exactly their level, updated as they grow.

So we built TaleBuilder together as a family. Our kids helped dream up features, tested stories, and inspired Tailyn, the fox who co-writes every book.
