Amelia stood at the school gate. Her big backpack felt heavy. Bright sun warmed her face.

Children laughed on the playground. They ran and played. Amelia watched their happy games.

Ms. Lily smiled at the door. Amelia walked inside. The room was bright and colorful.

Ms. Lily gave everyone crayons. "Draw your favorite thing," she said. Amelia drew quietly in her seat.
