A backyard adventure.
Page 1
"Sofie is here!" shouted Nolan. He ran to the door. Aiden was right behind him. Sofie smiled big.
Page 2
"Let's play in the backyard!" Aiden yelled. The three friends ran outside. The grass felt soft on their feet. What would they do first?

"Hideouts!" shouted Sofie. "Let's build secret hideouts!" Nolan and Aiden nodded. This was a very good idea.
Page 4
They dragged blankets and pillows. They found cardboard boxes too. "Tape!" said Nolan. "We need lots of tape!"
Page 5
Nolan ran inside to ask Mom and Dad for tape. "Can we use lots and lots of tape?" he asked. Mom smiled. "Just a little bit," she said.

The friends used the tape carefully. They made a strong hideout. It was big enough for all three of them!

Soon, Nolan had an idea. "Let's draw on the walls!" Sofie clapped her hands. Aiden looked unsure.

"But Dad doesn't like when we draw on the walls," said Aiden. "I know!" said Nolan. "Let's just draw a little bit!"

Just then, Dad walked in. "What are you doing?" he asked. Nolan quickly hid the markers behind his back. "Nothing, Dad!"

Nolan told Dad about the drawing idea. Dad smiled. "How about you draw on paper instead?" Nolan, Aiden, and Sofie all agreed. It was even more fun!
