Story Arc

Miguel arrived at Farmer Rosa’s big farm. Green fields stretched far away. He watched little chickens peck.

“Welcome, Miguel!” Farmer Rosa smiled. “Let’s see our growing food.” Miguel saw rows of green plants.

Later, Farmer Rosa offered him a carrot. Miguel shook his head. He did not like vegetables.

“These are bell peppers,” Farmer Rosa said. “They need water.” Miguel looked at the tiny plants.

He helped pull small weeds. The weeds tried to take the water. Miguel worked hard in the soil.

Days passed. The plants grew tall. Miguel saw small green peppers. Soon, they would be big.

He learned that sun and rain helped them grow. Miguel knew how much work was needed.

Harvest day came. Miguel carefully picked a big, red pepper. He held it in his hand.

Farmer Rosa cooked supper. The fresh bell peppers smelled so good. Miguel looked at his plate.

He took a bite of pepper. It was crisp and sweet! Miguel smiled. It tasted like sunshine and hard work.
