Story Arc

Leo went to the beach. Grandpa was there. They had a big kite.

Leo held the kite up. He ran fast, fast! Whoosh! The wind blew.

The kite did not fly up. It stayed on the sand. Leo’s shoulders drooped.

Grandpa watched Leo. Grandpa smiled softly. The wind blew on and on.

Leo held the kite again. He looked at Grandpa. He looked at the wind.

Grandpa made a slow sign. Grandpa looked at the wind. Leo watched Grandpa’s hand.

Leo ran with the wind. The kite shook and wobbled. It moved up a tiny bit!

Leo ran, ran, ran! The kite went up! Higher and higher!

The kite was so high! Leo smiled a big smile. He was very happy now.

They watched the kite. It danced and swayed. A good kite day!
