One wing FLAPS and one wing FLOPS, Sammy hops and then he stops! “Mama, Papa, look at me! I want to zoom above the tree!”

A whisper-wing, so soft and small, It wouldn’t help him stand up tall. It couldn’t catch the summer breeze, Or lift him up above the trees.

Oh, sticky feathers! Oh, wobbly wings! He’s missing out on sky-high things. A droopy beak and a tiny pout, Sammy feels quite left-on-out!
